A 4-story, 129,390-square-foot project consisting of 92 units of affordable housing in a two-tower concept sharing a common podium parking structure for low income families.

Liberty Square includes many features and amenities found in higher rent buildings, including secure underground parking (123 stalls), an exercise area, a common room and laundry rooms. Furthermore, each unit comes with either a patio (ground floors) or deck (upper floor), and 19 of the 92 units are accessible to the disabled.

The project was completed in September, 2008 and fully leased by January, 2009. Total construction cost was $11,890,000, and was publically financed by bonds from the Renton Housing Authority and other charitable foundations. The project was developed by Fifth and Williams Housing Associates LLC as a joint venture between Sherman Homes (Bill Sherman at 425-602-3700) and D.A.S.H. (Downtown Action to Save Housing) of Bellevue.
